Fallbrook Union Elementary School District Honors and Supports Military Families with District-Wide Veterans Celebrations

The Fallbrook Union Elementary School District (FUESD) proudly celebrated Veterans Day with events across all its schools, honoring veterans and military families for their dedication and sacrifices. While FUESD schools aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, such as San Onofre School and Mary Fay Pendleton, serve exclusively military-connected students, military families are a valued part of every school community within the district. This inclusive approach reflects FUESD’s unwavering commitment to supporting military families district-wide, with programs and resources that extend to all campuses.

FUESD’s dedication to military families is evident through each school’s Purple Star designation—a recognition given to schools that demonstrate a commitment to students and families connected to the military. This ongoing support means military students receive not only a welcoming environment but also specialized resources that ease transitions, provide stability, and foster academic success despite frequent relocations.

“Our district deeply values the contributions and sacrifices of our military families,” said Seth Trench, Director of Communications for FUESD. “Veterans Day is an opportunity for us to show our gratitude, and seeing each of our schools come together to honor military families reflects the pride and appreciation we have for these dedicated individuals. Their resilience inspires us, and we are proud to stand alongside them every day.”

The celebrations across FUESD campuses highlighted the district’s commitment to honoring service members and their families. As one of the few districts nationwide with every school holding the Purple Star designation, FUESD’s dedication to military-connected families is year-round, ensuring resources, support, and appreciation reach each family across all school sites.
